| Single-point
power connection |
| |
Dual
wires within the stainless steel braid provides the
installer with the
simplest connection and the easiest product to lay.
(See detail top left on
reverse side.) The electrical current travels through
the heating wire to the
factory installed end-splice, then returns to the single
point power lead.
Thus MasterHeat incorporates the ultimate in installation
confidence and
convenience.
During the tile installation, a "LoudMouth"
assures the MasterHeat wire is alive and well. An alarm
will sound if the wire is damaged. Final hook-up is
quick. Just connect each wire from the power lead to
your MasterHeat thermostat. |
| ETFE
insulation and UL certification |
| |
When the
mechanical system is under your tile or stone, you want
the most
dependable insulation for your heating wires. The ultra
dependable ETFE (ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene or modified
fluoro polymer) insulation package is the best. A derivative
of Dupont's famous Teflon®, ETFE expands and contracts
without wear or cracking to keep water and oxygen away
from the hard-working multi-strand heating wires. MasterHeat's
UL certification ensures our commitment to safety and
dependability with high quality, durable components. |
| Professional electrical
format |
| |
As
the popularity of warm tile and stone grows, larger
and larger areas are being installed. With 120 VAC wire,
you can directly wire to your thermostat in applications
of up to 150 sq. ft. Switch to 240V wire and thermostat
for areas up to 260 square feet. For larger zones use
an external contactor (or relay). The installation manual
has wiring diagrams for easy, professional electrical
hook-ups. |
| Low
operating costs |
| |
Everyone
is concerned about energy consumption. It's good to
keep in mind
that at 2-1/2" o.c., ten square feet of wire uses
energy equal to two 60 watt light bulbs. And remember,
the power isn't on all the time. The sensor from your
thermostat turns the power off when the floor reaches
the desired temperature.
At 6¢ a kilowatt, 60 square feet of heated tile
would typically cost a mere
$3.00 a month, for full space-heating usage. When you
use a programmable
floor control, the usage cost is even less. |
Our
clients think without reservation that it's the best money
they spent on their project. We like happy clients. That's
why we sell MasterHeat!
